Head Instructor
Black belt
Greg began his martial arts career with Boxing at the age of 14, growing up watching Tyson, Holyfield, Sugar Ray and Hearns to name a few. He believed Iron Mike to be the pinnacle of what a fighter can be, exciting, explosive, technical and unstoppable…. Greg pursued boxing and amateur fights in his late teens and early 20’s until he discovered Jiu Jitsu and became an obsessed devotee of the art.
Greg spent his early years of Jiu Jitsu training going from academy to academy looking for the fighting art. It wasn’t until he started training with Chris Burns that he discovered what he had been searching for.
Since meeting Chris, Greg’s Jiu Jitsu journey has been inextricably linked and led him to travel the world many times over, training with quite literally the finest Gracie Jiu Jitsu instructors on earth. Such as Chris Burns, Rickson Gracie, Henry Akins, Kron Gracie, Jack Taufer, Jason Roebig, Chris Dirksen, Chris Haueter and Pedro Sauer to name a few.
Though Greg continues to box and experiment with wrestling and other disciplines his ties to Gracie Jiu Jitsu are the strongest and he can always be found on the mats of our new training facility in East St Kilda.

Ellie began her martial arts journey at 17 years of age. She first started with karate but quickly fell in love with all things martial arts. After achieving the level of 2nd Dan in Shoukoki Karate she started to look for different challenges within the martial arts world.
It wasn’t until the age of 22 that an old karate friend introduced her future coach and the wonderful world of Jiu Jitsu. After one lesson she was hooked!
Over the years Jiu Jitsu has served Ellie well, giving her newfound self-confidence, physical fitness and tools for life beyond the mats.
Ellie has been fortunate enough to train with some of the finest instructors in Australia and USA. Such as Chris Burns, Jason Roebig, Jack Taufer and Chris Haueter.
Her passion for the Gracie Jiu Jitsu self defense system and years of experience instructing karate make her an excellent instructor and approachable guide for women who are just starting out in the art.
